Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Stroke Play and Stableford?
Stroke Play counts total strokes over the round — the lowest score wins. Stableford awards points per hole based on your score relative to par (e.g., par = 2 points, birdie = 3 points) — the highest total points wins. Stableford rewards aggressive play since a bad hole only costs you zero points rather than blowing up your total.
Can I run Skins alongside the main tournament?
Yes! Skins is an optional side game that runs in parallel with your Stroke Play or Stableford tournament. Players compete for individual holes — win a hole outright and you claim the skin. Tied holes can optionally carry over to the next hole for bigger payouts.
How do flights work?
Flights group players by handicap range so golfers compete against others of similar skill. For example, you might have a Championship flight (0-10 handicap), A flight (11-18), and B flight (19+). Each flight has its own leaderboard and winners.
How do handicaps work?
The system uses full USGA course handicap calculations: (Handicap Index x Slope Rating / 113) + (Course Rating - Par). Strokes are then allocated based on each hole's difficulty ranking. This ensures fair competition between players of all skill levels.
Is this a Premium feature?
Yes, creating Individual Tournaments requires a Premium subscription. However, all players — free and premium — can participate once they're added to the tournament by the organizer.
