BANKER

Official Instructions

Objective

Players compete individually against the Banker on each hole. Bets are set before tee shots, modified after tee shots, and settled after scoring.

Game Flow

Declare→(Pre-Double)→Tee Shot→(Triple)→Banker Action→Play→Settle→Rotate

Who Becomes the Banker?

There are two ways to determine who banks each hole:

DEFAULT

Earn the Bank

The player with the lowest score on the previous hole becomes the Banker for the next hole.

  • • Hole 1: Flip a tee to decide first banker
  • • Ties: Player who holed out first gets the bank
  • • Rewards good play with the advantageous banker position

Fixed Rotation

Banker rotates in a predetermined order, regardless of scores.

  • • Set order before round starts (or flip tee at tee box)
  • • Cycles through: Player 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 1...
  • • Simple and predictable rotation

1Declare Your Bet(Before ANY Tee Shots)

  • •Each non-banker declares their wager for the hole
  • •Minimum is the base amount (e.g., $1)
  • •No maximum unless the group agrees
  • •This is the Declared Bet

2Optional Pre-Tee Double

  • •Before any tee shots are hit, players may say “Double mine”
  • •This doubles their declared bet
  • •Used strategically to respond to other players or apply pressure

3Tee Shots(Banker Always Hits Last)

  • •All players hit in order
  • •Banker observes all tee shots before acting

4Optional Post-Tee Triple

  • •After hitting their tee shot, each player may triple their wager
  • •Tripling is optional and based on confidence in their drive
  • •Some groups apply automatic doubles for birdies

5Banker's Move

After all tee shots, the Banker may:

✋Do nothing
🎯Double One Player
💥Double All

6Play the Hole & Settle Bets

Each player's final wager is settled individually against the Banker:

✓Player beats Banker → Player wins their final wager
✗Banker beats Player → Player loses their final wager
=Tie → No action (push)

Example Hole

John:

Declares $1 → Doubles → Banker doubles → Final bet $4 → Scores 4 → Wins $4

Travis:

Declares $2 → Birdie auto-double → Banker doubles → Final bet $8 → Wins $8

Chad:

Declares $6 → Banker doubles → Final bet $12 → Wins $12

Kirk (Banker) 🏦:

Scores 5 → Pays out total of $24
