BANKER

Official Instructions

Objective

Players compete individually against the Banker on each hole. Bets are set before tee shots, modified after tee shots, and settled after scoring.

Game Flow

Declare→(Pre-Double)→Tee Shot→(Triple)→Banker Action→Play→Settle→Rotate

Who Becomes the Banker?

There are two ways to determine who banks each hole:

DEFAULT

Earn the Bank

The player with the lowest score on the previous hole becomes the Banker for the next hole.

  • β€’ Hole 1: Flip a tee to decide first banker
  • β€’ Ties: Player who holed out first gets the bank
  • β€’ Rewards good play with the advantageous banker position

Fixed Rotation

Banker rotates in a predetermined order, regardless of scores.

  • β€’ Set order before round starts (or flip tee at tee box)
  • β€’ Cycles through: Player 1 β†’ 2 β†’ 3 β†’ 4 β†’ 1...
  • β€’ Simple and predictable rotation

1Declare Your Bet(Before ANY Tee Shots)

  • β€’Each non-banker declares their wager for the hole
  • β€’Minimum is the base amount (e.g., $1)
  • β€’No maximum unless the group agrees
  • β€’This is the Declared Bet

2Optional Pre-Tee Double

  • β€’Before any tee shots are hit, players may say β€œDouble mine”
  • β€’This doubles their declared bet
  • β€’Used strategically to respond to other players or apply pressure

3Tee Shots(Banker Always Hits Last)

  • β€’All players hit in order
  • β€’Banker observes all tee shots before acting

4Optional Post-Tee Triple

  • β€’After hitting their tee shot, each player may triple their wager
  • β€’Tripling is optional and based on confidence in their drive
  • β€’Some groups apply automatic doubles for birdies

5Banker's Move

After all tee shots, the Banker may:

βœ‹Do nothing
🎯Double One Player
πŸ’₯Double All

6Play the Hole & Settle Bets

Each player's final wager is settled individually against the Banker:

βœ“Player beats Banker β†’ Player wins their final wager
βœ—Banker beats Player β†’ Player loses their final wager
=Tie β†’ No action (push)
